Select a city to view today's Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha times
Prayer times change daily with the movement of the sun; obtaining accurate Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha times for each city is essential. Nurlu uses the Aladhan API — aligned with the Diyanet (Turkey) calculation method — to automatically update times every day.
Times are calculated via the Aladhan API using Method 13 (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı), the official Turkish authority for religious affairs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often are prayer times updated?
Prayer times on Nurlu are updated automatically every day. The Aladhan API provides daily times based on solar position calculations, so refreshing the page each morning will show you the correct times for that day.
What is the difference between Imsak and Fajr prayer?
Imsak marks the start of the Ramadan fast and coincides with the appearance of true dawn (fajr al-sadiq). The Fajr prayer also begins at this time; however, some calculation methods may show a few minutes' difference between Imsak and the start of Fajr prayer. According to the Diyanet method, both times are effectively the same in practice.
What if my city is not in the list?
Nurlu supports prayer times for all 81 provinces of Turkey. If you cannot find your city, try the search box or select the nearest province for approximate times. District-level support is planned for a future update.
Which calculation method does Nurlu use?
Nurlu uses Method 13 (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı) via the Aladhan API. This method is aligned with the official prayer time calculation used in Turkey and provides high accuracy.
Are times correct during daylight saving time changes?
Yes. The Aladhan API accounts for each city's coordinates and time zone when calculating times. Turkey operates on a fixed UTC+3 timezone, so times are displayed correctly without any manual adjustment needed for seasonal time changes.
