Surah Al-Mursalaat: Arabic, Transliteration and Translation
Surah Al-Mursalaat is chapter 77 of the Holy Quran; it has 50 verses and is a Meccan surah. Below you can read the whole surah verse by verse with the Arabic text, Latin transliteration and English translation.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًۭا﴿1﴾
Wal mursalaati'urfaa
1.By those [winds] sent forth in gusts
فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًۭا﴿2﴾
Fal'aasifaati 'asfaa
2.And the winds that blow violently
وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًۭا﴿3﴾
Wannaashiraati nashraa
3.And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]
فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًۭا﴿4﴾
Falfaariqaati farqaa
4.And those [angels] who bring criterion
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا﴿5﴾
Falmulqiyaati zikra
5.And those [angels] who deliver a message
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا﴿6﴾
'Uzran aw nuzraa
6.As justification or warning,
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ﴿7﴾
Innamaa too'adoona lawaaqi'
7.Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ﴿8﴾
Fa izam nujoomu tumisat
8.So when the stars are obliterated
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ﴿9﴾
Wa izas samaaa'u furijat
9.And when the heaven is opened
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ﴿10﴾
Wa izal jibaalu nusifat
10.And when the mountains are blown away
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ﴿11﴾
Wa izar Rusulu uqqitat
11.And when the messengers' time has come...
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ﴿12﴾
Li ayyi yawmin ujjilat
12.For what Day was it postponed?
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ﴿13﴾
Li yawmil Fasl
13.For the Day of Judgement.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ﴿14﴾
Wa maaa adraaka maa yawmul fasl
14.And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿15﴾
Wailuny yawma 'izillilmukazzibeen
15.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿16﴾
Alam nuhlikil awwaleen
16.Did We not destroy the former peoples?
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ﴿17﴾
Summa nutbi'uhumul aakhireen
17.Then We will follow them with the later ones.
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ﴿18﴾
Kazzlika naf'alu bilmujrimeen
18.Thus do We deal with the criminals.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿19﴾
Wailunw yawma 'izil lil mukazzibeen
19.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍۢ مَّهِينٍۢ﴿20﴾
Alam nakhlukkum mimmaaa'im maheen
20.Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍۢ مَّكِينٍ﴿21﴾
Faja'alnaahu fee qaraarim makeen
21.And We placed it in a firm lodging
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ﴿22﴾
Illaa qadrim ma'loom
22.For a known extent.
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ﴿23﴾
Faqadarnaa fani'mal qaadiroon
23.And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿24﴾
Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen
24.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا﴿25﴾
Alam naj'alil arda kifaataa
25.Have We not made the earth a container
أَحْيَآءًۭ وَأَمْوَٰتًۭا﴿26﴾
Ahyaaa'anw wa amwaataa
26.Of the living and the dead?
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍۢ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءًۭ فُرَاتًۭا﴿27﴾
Wa ja'alnaa feehaa rawaasiya shaamikhaatinw wa asqainaakum maaa'an furaataa
27.And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿28﴾
Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen
28.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ﴿29﴾
Intaliqooo ilaa maa kuntum bihee tukazziboon
29.[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّۢ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍۢ﴿30﴾
Intaliqooo ilaa zillin zee salaasi shu'ab
30.Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns
لَّا ظَلِيلٍۢ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ﴿31﴾
Laa zaleelinw wa laa yughnee minal lahab
31.[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍۢ كَٱلْقَصْرِ﴿32﴾
Innahaa tarmee bishararin kalqasr
32.Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌۭ صُفْرٌۭ﴿33﴾
Ka annahoo jimaalatun sufr
33.As if they were yellowish [black] camels.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿34﴾
Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazibeen
34.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ﴿35﴾
Haazaa yawmu laa uantiqoon
35.This is a Day they will not speak,
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ﴿36﴾
Wa laa yu'zanu lahum fa ya'taziroon
36.Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿37﴾
Wailunw yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen
37.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿38﴾
Haaza yawmul fasli jama 'naakum wal awwaleen
38.This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌۭ فَكِيدُونِ﴿39﴾
Fa in kaana lakum kaidun fakeedoon
39.So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿40﴾
Wailuny yawma'izil lilmukazzibeen
40.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ﴿41﴾
Innal muttaqeena fee zilaalinw wa 'uyoon
41.Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ﴿42﴾
Wa fawaakiha mimmaa yastahoon
42.And fruits from whatever they desire,
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ﴿43﴾
Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon
43.[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿44﴾
Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
44.Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿45﴾
Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmuzkazzibeen
45.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ﴿46﴾
Kuloo wa tamatta'oo qaleelan innakum mujrimoon
46.[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿47﴾
Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen
47.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ﴿48﴾
Wa izaa qeela lahumur ka'oo aa yarka'oon
48.And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿49﴾
Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen
49.Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿50﴾
Fabi ayyi hadeesim ba'dahoo yu'minoon
